Accessibility Statement
The Belgian Disability Forum vzw (BDF) is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Act of 19 July 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public authorities.
This accessibility statement applies to the website: https://bdf.belgium.be/.
Compliance status
In the absence of an audit, this website is not compliant.
Non-accessible content
Although the BDF makes every effort to make the site accessible to everyone (including through the ‘Easy to read’ section), the following elements may still cause problems:
- PDF documents: Some older PDF documents and publications may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Alternative text: Some images may still lack a correct text alternative.
- The newsletter unsubscribe page: the form is missing a label and a caption.
- In older texts, the value of a number of title attributes is identical to the text of a link.
The BDF is working on a structural solution to resolve these issues.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was drawn up on 28 January 2026. The conformity assessment is based on:
- An audit by Webdesign Stekkedoos.
- The last revision took place on 10/06/2026.
An accessibility audit will be carried out very shortly. This audit will consist of a simplified analysis. Alternatives for the non-accessible content will be identified once the simplified audit has been carried out.
Full compliance can only be guaranteed with an in-depth audit, which is scheduled for 2027.
Both audits will be carried out by the FPS BOSA. The website will be assessed based on the criteria of standard EN 301 549.
