ESC : the text
The revised European Social Charter mainly concerns "social rights":
- housing;
- health;
- education;
- employment;
- working conditions;
- reduction of working time;
- right to strike;
- collective agreement;
- equal pay for equal work;
- maternity allowance;
- legal and social protection;
- social work activities;
- movement of persons;
- non-discrimination;
- protection against poverty and social exclusion;
- rights of migrant workers;
- rights of persons with disabilities.
Belgium signed the revised European Social Charter on 3 May 1996 and ratified it on 2 March 2004.
