SDGs: Report
The monitoring process of the implementation of the sustainable development goals by the States is a voluntary one. The States are the ones that decide to submit a voluntary report to the Assembly of States.
Belgium’s voluntary report
Belgium decided to submit a voluntary report during the session organized from 10 to 19 July 2017. Belgium must submit its report on 18 July 2017.
The Belgian report has been drafted by the Federal Institute for Sustainable Development, under the presidency of the Prime Minister.
The BDF’s analysis
The Belgian Disability Forum asbl (BDF) had the opportunity to provide comments on the Belgian voluntary report. These comments had to be drafted in a packed “format” because the speaking possibilities were very limited. The BDF has forwarded its comments to the United Nations.
These comments were also relayed by the representatives of the European Disability Forum (EDF) in New-York from 10 to 19 July 2017.
