Conseil consultatif de la Santé et de l'Aide aux personnes (CCSAP)

The Council includes 2 commissions: 

1. the Commission in charge of health
2. the Commission in charge of the assistance to persons

The Commission in charge of the assistance to persons includes a bureau and a specific department for institutions and services for social services.

The bureau of the Commission in charge of the assistance to persons comprises the chairman and vice-chairmen of the department for institutions and services for social services.

The department is composed of:

• representatives of the organizing authorities of the centres and services,
• workers’ representatives,
• users’ representatives,
• experts who do not belong to the aforementioned categories.

The mission of every section is to deliver opinions, either on its own initiative, or at the request of the competent Members of the gathered College, on matters relating to the sector. 

This advisory competence goes beyond the mere examination of proposals or projects, since the section can discuss, in complete independence, any questions falling within its competence.

The bureaus can also, on their own initiative or at the request of the gathered College, issue opinions on any matter falling within the competence of several sections.
